Welcome to the ABS School of Motoring service information page. We are the premier providers of driving instruction in the Lucan, Clondalkin and Tallaght areas. Our goal is to provide you the very best level of care and attention.

First Time Learner Lessons

For first time learners all lessons are conducted in our state of the art Dual Control cars. Students will be collected at their home or place of work. Lessons will be conducted in an area appropriate to the learners skill level i.e. in a very quiet location to begin with. At the end of the lesson the student will be returned to the same address.

Currently there are two options for first time learners:

1. If you hold or have ever held a Learner Permit dated prior to 4th of April 2011 you take as many or as few lessons as you and your instructor feel necessary. We at ABS School of Motoring recommend that you take somewhere 5 and 10 lessons minimum, however this is totally up to the Student.

2. If your Learner Permit is dated after the 4th or April 2011 you will be required to undertake the Essential Driver Training course (EDT). This course consists of 12 lessons which must be taken prior to undertaking your Driving Test. Only a fully qualified RSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) can provide these lessons. You do not have to take all 12 lessons with the same instructor.  If you wish you can change instructor at any time.

Pre-Test Lessons

Pre-Test lessons are a vital element in passing your driving test. During your driving career it is inevitable that you will pick up some bad habits. It is the function of the pre-test to identify these problems and rectify them. In addition it is important to be familiar with the various test routes and how the test is actually conducted. Pre-Test lessons will boost your confidence and greatly increase your chances of passing.

Motor Way Lessons

This is an aspect of driving that is often ignored by many drivers. Motor Ways are some of the safest roads in the country and a very efficient way to travel. There are however a number of vital skills required to use them safely.  A one to two hour lesson on Motor Ways will ensure you are safe and confident. Motor Way lessons are subject to you having a Full Driving License.

Parking

Do you have difficulties Parking?  We can solve any problems you may have. The course will cover all aspects of parking inc. Bay Parking, forward and reverse, Parallel Parking etc.

Advanced Driving

Why not take it to the next level. An Advanced Driving Course covers areas such as defensive driving, eco-driving and other advanced skills.  Having completed this course, you will be a more efficient, more relaxed, safer and more economical driver.
